There is a lot you can tell about a person from the motifs they choose to paint. This one is a tribute to my teenage years. I’ve just rewatched the whole Sex & the city series and there is a lot that hasn’t aged well, but I love that their faces move when the talk, this was before plastic botox faces and I’m so glad that this is my image of women in their 40’s. So here is my tribute to all the women who grew up with this, just like I did! 🩷

So when I started this painting I wanted to do something different, so I painted it on the backside of the canvas leaving the shirt and the skintone just raw canvas. It was so much fun and I think the raw linen canvas compliments the really strong electric blue really well. Up for grabs if anybody wants it!
